Why use a cattery?
Anyone can look after a cat. Only cat lovers who are professionally trained, and who genuinely care, do it well.
You have a number of options when you're away from home. You have a choice of catteries — we hope you'll choose us, as we strive to be the best we possibly can in terms of facilities, service and level of care. These days some people ask a neighbour or friend, or use a pop-in cat sitter; while that's an option, it may not be the best one for your loved ones.
If your household is usually busy and loud, then suddenly empty other than the odd visit, that emptiness, quiet and change of routine can leave a cat anxious and confused. We feed a wide and varied diet using top brands, with fresh UV-filtered spring water from our own spring, and we carefully record and monitor eating habits, demeanour and toilet habits — so anything untoward is spotted early. That simply isn't possible from a service that pops in occasionally.
What to look for when choosing a cattery
Sadly the standard of catteries varies enormously, so please do your homework — and don't be tempted by the cheapest option, as price often reflects the level of care. A good cattery will always let you visit first. When you do, ask:
