FEES

What we do, and what we don't

Some catteries sort their rooms into tiers — standard ones, and "premium" or themed suites with a higher price. We've thought about it, and it's not for us.

Here's where we stand.

We don't do themed rooms. A cat has no interest in whether its pen is decorated to a theme. Dress it up however you like — to the cat, it's a wall. Themed rooms exist for the owner's amusement and the photo opportunity, not for the animal's wellbeing, and we're not going to decorate a pen and add it to your bill.

All our pens are large double or family pens designed around what cats actually want: warmth, quiet, security, clean air, fresh water, and people who know how to read them.

We don't charge extra for proper care. Everything that genuinely matters to a boarding cat is already in our price, for every guest:

  • A care profile recording what your cat eats, what it won't touch, the litter it prefers, and whether it likes to be brushed and picked up, or left to itself

  • Individual attention and affection, cwtches or not, on the cat's terms

  • Gentle brushing and grooming

  • 24-hour climate control 12 months of the year, a spacious warm pen, and UV-filtered fresh water

  • A departure report when you collect, and photos during their stay, so you know how your cat got on while you were away

  • Premium tier food, and market leading litter by Kittilitt

We don't run two standards under one roof. We think it's the wrong way to board cats. If the good care is the expensive option, then the ordinary option is, by definition, less - and we're not willing to give one cat more attention than the cat next door because its owner paid a premium.

Every cat in our care gets the same standard: the best we can manage, every time.

What we do, simply, is look after your cat as if it were our own — properly, attentively, and honestly priced, with nothing dressed up and nothing held back behind an upgrade.

The door is open, literally. Come and see for yourself — there's nothing here we need to hide behind a theme.

Boarding Fees

1 cat £17/day
2 cats £21/day
3 cats £24/day

4 cats £26/day

* Please note that administration of medications will attract an additional fee per cat of £2 to £4 per day depending on medication and frequency of administration

A pick up and drop off service is also normally available, please ask.  We charge 85p per mile, with a minimum charge of £15 each way

The above prices are all inclusive; there are no extra charges for bedding, food, heating and insurance.

Whilst every effort is made to keep our charges down the above prices are subject to change to maintain our standard of boarding.

Please also note:

  • Boarding fees are charged per pen per day, including the day of arrival and departure.

  • Minimum stay: 3 nights off-peak; 4 nights from 1 June to 30 September; 5 nights over Christmas (21 December–4 January).

  • Christmas surcharge: £5 per cat per day, 21 December–4 January.

  • Payment: cash only; we have no card facility at present.

  • Cancellations and changes must be notified in writing. More than 14 days before arrival: no charge. 14 days or fewer but more than 7: 50% of the boarding fee. 7 days or fewer, or non-arrival: 100% of the boarding fee (including arrival and departure days).

  • Drop-off and collection are by appointment, normally 10am–4pm. We try to keep drop-offs to the afternoon and collections to the morning so we can clean thoroughly between guests.

  • Sharing: only cats from the same household, and compatible with each other, may share a pen.

  • Pen moves: where we can only fit a booking in by moving your cat(s) to a different pen partway through the stay, we will offer this to you first. If you agree to it as a condition of the booking, a £15 per pen move cleaning and administration charge applies. No charge is made where we move your cat for our own operational, compatibility or welfare reasons.

  • Unneutered males/cats with fleas: entire males over 6 months are not accepted, nor are cats with fleas. If a cat turns out to be unneutered and sprays during its stay, or has fleas, a £50 deep-cleaning charge applies and customers agree that we may apply flea treatment to their cats to contain the outbreak.
